Really enjoyed our stay, and decorated to a high modern standard, the open plan kitchen living room, comfy sofa’s and Sky TV gave it that ‘home from home feel’. The location is ideal, near the beach (Sea View from Master Bedroom), parking was easy (in January) yet only 5 mins walk into town. We enjoyed the walk along the coast to Sandsend, great little place called Woodlands Café/Bistro to stop for a drink and a bite to eat when there. Go to the Whitby Tea Rooms for a good cooked breakfast, good Fish & Chips at Mr Chips. Plenty to do in the evening, enjoyed a beer in the Duke of York & Black Horse pubs which are worth a visit + the Moon & Sixpence and Marine Bar’s on West side of the harbour good too. Will be booking again soon, great place and would highly recommend the apartment for couples or families. (Lee & Andrea from West Yorks - January 2012)
Our Whitby weekend was a great success. No.3 by the Sea cannot be faulted, great location and marvellous apartment. Love to take the grandchildren in summer! Again, thanks a wonderful place. (Ian - December 2011)
What a fab weekend in a superbly accommodated holiday home. Definitely homely with all the mod cons in a spacious and modern place. It's on the doorstep of everything you want and look forward to going again for a longer break with more seaside adventures! Thanks for making us so welcome!!! (Mick, Sharon, Joel & Logan from Huddersfield - December 2011)
We had a great stay at No 3 and will certainly consider booking again for the same time next year. The apartment was very homely and comfortable - there was nothing we needed that wasn’t already there. (Lynn from Cheshire - November 2011)
"I have had occasion to stay in this flat several times now and the quality is consistently high, the owners are always courteous, helpful, accomodating and keen to hear feedback or to help make your stay more enjoyable in any way they can. The flat is clean, comfortable and fulfils all my needs. An outside light so I can see what I am doing with keys when I come back at night but that is of no great importance."

Spacious and comfortable accommodation with lots of storage space. Home facilities available, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, washing machine etc TV (with Sky) and DVD player. We really couldn't want for more. Looking forward to our next visit.
(Rita,Tom & Family from Wigan - October 2011)
The location was ideal being only 2 minutes from the beach or 2 minutes from the Skinner Street and Flowergate shops (Becketts Coffee Shop highly recommended). It was good to be so close to the Pavilion especially as they are now showing films 1 or 2 evenings a week. Although it was a short break we managed to visit a few of our favourites Fortunes Kippers and The Magpie Cafe to name two. The apartment itself was excellent, very clean, comfortable and good quality fittings throughout (especially appreciated the ipod speakers, we don't often find these). Overall excellent 9/10. A good break, many thanks (Rob from Northampton - October 2011)
We had a wonderful holiday at No 3 by the Sea, and found it to be a very comfortable and convenient base. The weather was perfect all week. Recommendations to others holidaying there: Buy a weekly parking ticket from the Tourist Information Centre and park in the West Cliff carpark - there was never a street space. Great takeaway from A Passage to India and they will deliver. Walk the length of the beach from Whitby to Sandsend and have lunch at The Hart Inn- dog-friendly. Check tide times when planning your walk. Other good meals enjoyed at dog-friendly places include Robertsons and Humble Pie n Mash in Whitby, also the Fox and Rabbit near Pickering. Enjoyed lovely walks in Helmsley(Cleveland Way) and from the Moors Centre- lunch at the Board Inn in Lealholm. We found No 3 to be nice and quiet but handy to walk to the town centre. We hope to holiday there again some time.

We had a wonderful time and really liked the apartment. We will be passing the details on to family who regularly stay at Whitby and will hopefully be booking for ourselves next year. Thank you.

We had a lovely time at No 3 by the sea the apartment is lovely and really enjoyed our stay there and would love to stay there again thanks so much.
(Sarah from Leeds - August 2011)
Thank you - we all had a wonderful time. The flat is very centrally located - especially for Folk Week events, but I would think that anyone would find it convenient. We also found it very easy to look after and keep tidy - ideal when you're on holiday! It was also useful having the entry phone working - new since our last visit. But probably the strongest recommendation is that we want to come back next August.
(Neil from London - August 2011)
We all had a lovely holiday, the apartment was very nice and child friendly - the toys and games are a nice touch. I would highly recommend No 3 by the sea and would look forward to another stay in the near future. (Richard from Dudley - August 2011)
I really enjoyed the stay at No 3 By the Sea, with my children. The apartment was modern and cosy and my children were kept entertained in the evening with the selection of games available to them. It was situated in a quiet location but only a short walk down to the sea or the town. Truly a home from home.
(Joanne from Middlesbrough - August 2011)
Once again, we had an absolutely fabulous time. We love staying in No 3 by the sea - it's really conveniently located for all that Whitby has to offer yet in a quiet location with a beautiful view. You've made it all so welcoming - with instructions for all the appliances and toys, games and DVDs. We love what you've done with the flat and only wish our own home was as nicely decorated! Also, thanks for the tip off about Mister Chips - the best fish and chips we've had in ages. And walking from Mister Chips up the back way to the Abbey we were treated to one of the best views in Yorkshire. (Fiona, Dave, Holly and George from Essex - August 2011)
We had a lovely time when we went to Whitby with my 93 year old father in law two weeks ago. Although we found Whitby rather hilly for him, he coped very well and there are lots of places to visit in the car so he thoroughly enjoyed himself. No. 3 By The Sea apartment is beautiful, with a large bathroom, comfy lounge, lovely bedrooms and a fantastic kitchen. It has everything you need and when Victoria says all you need are towels that is absolutely true. We actually took our slow cooker so we had a meal ready when we came back after a day out. We loved Whitby - it is such an interesting place with lovely restaurants and old fashioned little shops. We will definitely be going back and exploring a little more and hope to stay at No. 3 again to make our stay perfect!!
(Pat from Cheshire - August 2011)
We had a fantastic time thanks so much, the apartment was brilliant, would recommend to any one, the only bad thing which cant be helped is parking. I will be booking with you again.
(Suzanne from Sheffield - July 2011)
we had a lovely few days at whitby and another pleasant stay at 3 by the sea its so convenient when having two young girls. will look forward to booking our 3rd stay next summer. thank you. (broadley gang from hull - july 2011)
Myself my wife and my dog had a lovely stay at No 3 by the sea. Perfectly situated just 5 mins walk from the centre it is a cosy, clean and comfortable place to stay. We found everything we needed at the apartment (we did bring our own coffee...not needed as it was there at no 3 for us!) and had a great time as ever in Whitby. Whitby has enough for you to do when the weather is great and no 3 has enough for you to do if its chucking it down! The sea view was a bonus, parking was easy and i will be coming back again...many thanks. (Colum from Lancashire - June 2011)
its a lovely flat and we enjoyed are stay. just wish the whitby weather could have been nicer for milly our dog. we will more than likely be in touch with you in the future. all the best.
(Mark from Wakefield - June 2011)
Brilliant, just got back from No 3 By The Sea and had a fantastic stay. Clean, bright, spacious and very welcoming. Company good too! No honestly we would recommend this to everybody. We went for two nights, everything you could wish for. Weather was not too good, but the flat had sky on, which meant we could watch the rugby League!! and there were plenty of DVD's of favourite films. The owners have really thought about everything. The location is very central and next to the Sea of which you had a great view from the main bedroom. Parking available outside the flat was available once the daytrippers had left, and because we were so central meant once we had parked the car we could leave it there. Anyone wishing to stay in Whitby won't go far wrong at No 3 By The SEA. (Jillian & Daryl from Byram, North Yorkshire - June 2011)
We had a fantastic week in Whitby and will definitely return. There were lots of things to do - in fact we didn't have time to do everything we wanted to do so will have to return! The apartment was in a great location, well equipped for all our needs and very comfortable. The Sky+ box came in very handy for recording programmes whilst we were out having fun, and at the beginning of the week when the weather was a bit chilly the heating was most welcome! We did find parking a problem when we first arrived as the town was very busy, so ended up buying a parking permit for the week. This did seem quite expensive as we only took the car out once, but the permit could be used in many car parks around the Borough, so for anybody travelling around this could actually save them money. My only niggle about the apartment (and it is only a small one) was the bathroom window blind next to the toilet - I think a Venetian blind would be much better given that the window does not have privacy glass!! Other than that, the apartment was perfect and I would recommend it to anybody. Thank you for a brilliant holiday in what is now one of our favourite holiday locations! (Helen from Stockport - May 2011)
My husband and I and our little boy would like to say thank you after a lovely weekend at your holiday apartment no 3 by the sea. We found your accommodation to be of the highest standard and everything there which you would have at home including the washing machine which I found extremely handy, also there was a great selection of DVD's and toys plus the sky childrens channel to keep our little boy entertained while we were in the apartment. The location of the apartment was in easy walking distance to the beach and entertainment which was very handy as we didn't take the pushchair, also had a lovely sea view from the bedroom which had an extremely comfortable bed, and a lovely view of a church and school to the front. We found the apartment very quiet, warm and cosy, and would recommend to family and friends, thank you once again for our stay.
(Jo & Lee from Leeds - May 2011)
We had a wonderful time in Whitby an the Apartment was great, really well situated, comfortable and bright. We recommended the apartment to a couple staying in Whitby while we were there and will recommend to all friends. (Sue & Jack from Leicestershire - April 2011)
The apartment was great. Comfortable, clean and well equipped. The free parking out-front really added to the attraction. We went with two children one 6 years and one 16 years old, they both loved it! We will definitely be back. (Irene from Nottingham - April 2011)
Thank you so much it was lovely and I had a good time! (Mark from Hull - April 2011)
We've just got home after spending a fantastic weekend in your apartment in Whitby. The weather was excellent and we did lots. The apartment was out of this world. It was extremely comfortable & all the "extras" were great. We would have no hesitation in recommending No.3 by the sea anyone & hope to return ourselves in the future. (Anne & Family from Lincoln - April 2011)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 3 by the Sea. Whitby was a pleasant surprise. The flat is very well located for the town (which was great in the evenings as the restaurants were all within walking distance). For us there were no issues at all, everything you have provided is adequate, so no complaints at all.... I would recommend to others staying at No 3 if they wanted a break in Whitby. (Richard from Basingstoke - April 2011)
We stayed at No3 by the sea in February 2011 - booking was easy, with Victoria keeping in touch with us really well. The apartment was great - really comfortable and clean, Sky on the TV for those wet and windy Whitby afternoons, a well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and sofas and all in a great location close to the seafront and only a short walk to the centre of town.
(Dawn from Nottingham - February 2011)
All we wanted was a very simple weekend away in Whitby, nothing flash. Whitby is less than an hours drive for us so it really was about convenience rather than anything else. However, having read the details on the website and checked the location on arriving we were ' chuffed to bits'. The weather was far from perfect, but what do you expect in Whitby during February so it made the quality of the apartment even more important to us. What we found were two great sized bedrooms with very comfy beds and another Z bed which more than suited our teenage son. A modern kitchen with all the bits and pieces you could ever require for weeks away let alone a weekend. A good sized lounge where we could all sit and at the same time!! Having a family of five can be quite often difficult to accommodate but certainly not on this occasion. There are some nice additional touches which make the apartment excellent. Flat screen TV with Sky plus, an endless supply of DVD's and an IPOD Docking station to name a few. Outside it was so cold, but inside due to the efficient heating it was lovely and toasty. Location is second to none being just a quick walk from the Whale bones. Parking was not an issue either we parked outside the apartment. Nothing to complain about at all and for me being a Yorkshireman that is a first. Thank you very much. (Si & Jan Clarke - February 2011)
We really enjoyed the comfort and the smell of the leather sofa, then when you turn back from front you are treated to the beautiful view to the rear, that vista captivates me. A most relaxing warm and welcoming apartment. Thank you. (Darren from Cleethorpes - February 2011)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No 3. The apartment is beautifully situated (loved the sea view), tastefully and comfortably furnished and immaculately clean. We are regular visitors to Whitby (at least 6 weekends a year for the past 5 years or so). We've stayed in hotels, B & B's, room only and studio apartments. None have come close to the high standard of No 3 - it truly felt like home. The only other feedback I would make is that the radiator in the bathroom isn't large or powerful enough. However, I think it's only fair to say that it didn't bother us in the slightest - we just didn't hang around in the bathroom!! I hope we will be able to return to No 3 at some time in the future. (Lynne from Sheffield - December 2010)
We had a fab time, the apartment is really lovely, just like home from home, we will definitely be back. (Carla from West Yorkshire - November 2010)
Had a great time, loved the flat, true home from home, great location, would recommend to anyone. We would love to stop again. Kind Regards.(Malc from Shepshed - November 2010)
We both had a wonderful time in Whitby. The flat was very comfortable and well equipped. It was warm with lots of hot water, very comfortable beds - I slept round the clock one night! and so quiet. It was also lovely to watch the children coming and going from school and of course from the back bedroom being able to see the sea. The Sherlock Holmes cafe does lovely panninies and the warm fresh scones are delicious -they bake them fresh regularly during the day. I do hope that I get the opportunity to go to the flat again soon. (Diane from Northallerton - October 2010)
We had a lovely time on our first trip to whitby and no 3 by the sea was the icing on the cake, it was home from home very clean and the beds were very comfy we wanted to take them home with us lol. Location was excellent close enough to walk into whitby in just a few minutes but tucked away enough to be quiet at night. We will definitely stay again and recommend to friends many thanks.
(Pat n Dave from Wigan - September 2010)
My mum and dad came home last night from there holiday to Whitby and have asked me to send you a wee email to tell you how much they loved living at No 3 by the sea. They said it was a fab flat and your friend they dealt with re key collection was a lovely person. I am sure I will speak to you again in the future as they are planning there next holiday as we speak. Thank You. (Gayle from N. Lanarkshire - September 2010)
We would like very much to thank you for letting us stay at your holiday retreat. It was extremely clean, and a pleasure to stay there, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to our close friends. (Neal from Leicestershire - September 2010)
This is our second time at Number 3 by the Sea and we had a brilliant time nice and clean and well presented, fantastic location no problems with parking either on the road or at the rear in the main car park, one excellent addition is the introduction of Sky TV, thanks again and we will be back. (Robert from Bradford - August 2010)
Thank you, we (and our friends) had a wonderful time in Whitby: so much so that we have already booked our tickets for next year's Folk Week! No 3 by the Sea was a perfect base for our activities: comfortable - no, make that luxurious - and centrally placed, especially for concerts at the Pavilion, the Metropole, the Rifle Club etc. The only other comment I'd make: it was a little limiting only having two sets of keys - there were times when all four of us were at different workshops. We'd like to book again for next year though: is that week available? (Neil from London - August 2010)
A great base to explore a lovely town and amazing countryside. Brilliantly situated for all local amenities. Decorated well with some of the comfiest beds I have ever slept in! It was very comfortable, clean and I will definitely be returning. Many thanks!! (Stan from Sheffield - August 2010)
We enjoyed our stay very much indeed and are pretty miserable to be back home. We had a great time in Whitby - the kids loved it all - both in and out of the flat. Their highlights of the week were collecting fossils, Elizabeth the Steam Bus and going on the speedboat. Dave and I just loved being back in our fave place and hanging out on the sands. The apartment is beautiful, it exceeded all our expectations. Its lovely furnished and fitted with everything that's needed. I hadn't expected such a great sea view from the master bedroom, and, because it's a quieter part of town, it was just brill to wake up naturally to the sounds of the sea. It was especially exciting when there was all the wild waves on Friday morning. can we come live there? Failing that, we shall be keeping an eye on your website for availability.
(Fiona, Dave, Holly and George from Essex - August 2010)
We had a fantastic time at No 3 by the Sea, the flat really is home from home and is perfectly situated only couple of minutes from the beach and a 5 min walk from town. Both of our daughters really enjoyed the fantastic beach building sand castles and body boarding in the waves. The town is really nice to wander around and up the 199 steps to the abbey and the fish and chips from the Magpie Cafe were gorgeous. We wish we could have stayed for longer and next time we would like to stay for a whole week. (Steve and Family from Royston Herts - August 2010)
We would just like to say we had a brilliant weekend in Whitby. What a lovely home from home, the flat was just fantastic, its modern, clean and close to everything. We really felt at ease and very comfortable it was like being at home but at the seaside. Our 2 girls loved the cars that were left to play with!!!......we look forward to booking with you for next year. (Broadley/Harper Family from Hull - July 2010)
Thank you for making our stay in Whitby comfortable and pleasurable. We enjoyed the freedom of the apartment and the home comforts. We had friends over from Australia and we all had a fantastic time. The apartment was pristine, homely and welcoming. We look forward to returning again some time soon. Many thanks. (Sara and Andrew from Sheffiled - July 2010)
We found No 3 to be an Up Market, comfortable apartment with everything we needed. It is ideally positioned for both Whitby Town and to explore the Cleveland Way. Five minutes from the sea, which you can see from the bedroom window. Public Swimming Pool next door if the weather is bad and only 10 minutes walk from town. Highly recommended. (Kevin and Sue from South Yorkshire - July 2010)
Had a fantastic time, No 3 by the Sea is clean fresh and has all the conveniences of home. My 4 yr old boy loved his break and enjoyed his room. We would like to book again for Sept. Thanks again for a stress free booking. (Chris from Derby - July 2010)
This was our first visit to Whitby so we didn't really know what to expect, but after 3 days there we have now nick named it 'Wonderful Whitby'. The apartment was in an excellent location, cosy yet spacious, with a great view from the master bedroom. Thanks again for a lovely stay in your home from home. (Catharine & Dave from Wigan - June 2010)
We had a most enjoyable weekend in Whitby. We would like to thank you very much for allowing us to rent your lovely home by the sea. The flat was in a good position for everything Whitby has to offer, the parking was'nt a problem, only once we had to park in the municiple carpark. The flat itself was very comfortably arranged and we felt at home from the off. The equipment and appliances were brilliant and everything was sparkling clean, definately a place for a relaxing holiday, just one problem, our stay was not long enough. (Sheila from Holmfirth West Yorkshire - June 2010)
We had a lovely break in Whitby. Your flat is very clean, comfortable and roomy in a quiet spot with easy parking and within easy walking into Whitby. I even managed the hills! I really enjoyed the rest and slept well in your comfy bed! We had some cool weather so had to use the heating one or two evenings and it was very easy to use and warmed us up really quickly. Thanks again, we will definitely come again.
(Carol from Chorley Lancs - May 2010)
We had an excellent week the grandchildren loved it, the apartment is ideally situated and immaculately clean, with all the equipment you need. (Colin from Derby - May 2010)
We enjoyed our stay in your holiday apartment very much. The location is ideal and is close to everything that we would need. The apartment is extremely comfortable and clean and is very much a home from home. We had a lovely and relaxing time during our stay in Whitby and we will definitely return again soon. Hopefully the weather will be warmer next time though! Thanks.
(Karen from Selby - April 2010)
Thank you, we enjoyed our stay very much. The flat was both comfortable and well positioned for our needs, it was an ideal haven where we could retire for rest and food from our frantic days in Whitby. The little yellow information file was most helpful. Everything was excellent and I would certainly be very happy to stay again in the future. (Bryan from Durham - April 2010)
Absolutely loved it in Whitby and your home from home is gorgeous. Already booked to go again in July, can't wait.
(Jo from West Yorkshire - April 2010 )
The flat was as described with everything needed to make you feel at home. We had a great time and the flat was ideally situated with all the amenities close to hand. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning soon.(Phil from Knottingley - March 2010)
We booked the flat over the internet. We received a quick response confirming dates were available and what was included in the price, which is everything including sky tv. We enjoy walking so the location was ideal, quick onto the beach and 5 minutes into the town centre. The flat is well decorated and cosy, I will be recommending the flat to my friends and family. (Geoff from Wigan - March 2010 )
Enjoyed my stays here have been twice since it opened in December. The flat is nice and cosy and has all the 'mod cons'. Centrally situated close to the great beach which is ideal for the kids. Good restaurants, shops and pubs close by. Recommend it! (Janet from Rothwell - January 2010 )
